ADS

We utlilize Adobe Creative Suite CS3 / CS4 to create our products and publications. We can accept smaller files (under 5 MB) via email for your convenience; on CD, DVD or flash (thumb) drive; or you can upload to our FTP site (please contact us for FTP login information). A color proof (PDF or printout) should always accompany your submission.

If supplying us with your ad please follow these guidelines:

- PREFERRED FILE TYPE: Adobe press-quality PDF, with crops and registration marks, 1/4” bleed, all copy 1/4” in from trim area, and all fonts changed to outlines.
- Adobe Indesign: 1/4” bleed, all copy 1/4” in from trim area, packaged with all links and fonts included (or all fonts changed to outlines).
- Adobe Illustrator: with crops and registration marks, 1/4” bleed, all copy 1/4” in from trim area, change all fonts to outlines, and embed all artwork in the file.
- Adobe Photoshop: file must be high resolution (300 DPI at 100% of actual size), 1/4” bleed, all copy 1/4” in from trim area, and all fonts rasterized or included with file.

Note all files / color swatches should be CMYK unless file is for the web.

PHOTOS

All photos / art (as JPGs or Photoshop EPSs) should be supplied at 300 DPI and 100% of the actual size (for example, if the photo / art will be printed 4”x6” in a brochure, the file should physically be at least that large). A large file can always be reduced in size, but a small file cannot be enlarged without losing resolution and the photo / art becoming pixelated. Note that most photos on the web are 72 DPI (which is low resolution used only for the internet) which is not high enough resolution for printing. Also note that most photos on the web are copyrighted and should not be downloaded and used without written permission.

LOGOS

When submitting your logo to us, please supply it in vector format (Adobe Illustrator .ai or .eps). (Please note that not all .eps files are vector art.) If you supply us with a JPG or .psd, please ensure that it is physically as large as possible and 300 DPI.
